Introduction to Shariah Compliant Business Campaign (SCBC)
The prime object of the Shariah Compliant Business Campaign (SCBC) is to identify the unIslamic business practices in the Public and provide the Shariah Compliant alternatives and solutions to these impermissible practices. The first Shariah Compliant Business Campaign was started by Hadhrat Shu’ayb (Alayhis Salaam) in which Allah expounds in the Qur’aan on the message of Shu’ay Alayhis Salaam to his people “Oh my people, worship Allah. There is no one worthy of Worship besides Allah. And do not decrease in scale and weight.” (Surah Hood, Verse 84). This was certainly a concerted campaign by Shu’ayb Alayhis Salaam to warn the people of the unIslamic business practices of his time.
Alhamdulillah the Shariah Compliant Business Campaign (SCBC) was established by my respected and honourable father, teacher and guide, Hadhrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai RA in the year 2002 with the very same Niyyat and intention. The campaign was extremely successful to date with thousands of businesses becoming shariah compliant and abstaining from Riba/interest and other unIslamic practices. Alhamdulillah my respected father appointed me to conduct the last Shariah Compliant Business Campaign which was held in Harare, Zimbabwe in 2019. I also held several programmes in Gaborone, Botswana, Blantyre, Malawi, Accra, Ghana and Mauritius. These programmes were well attended and many have expressed their desire and interest to become shariah compliant in their business dealings.
Many people including Ulema and business professionals have been following my discourses on this topic of Islamic Finance and Economics and they encouraged me from a long time to create an easily accessible resource for their benefit on this topic. Alhamdulillah based on the sincerity of their request and the advice of our pious elders and Ulema, we would like to welcome you to this Shariah Compliant Business Campaign website. The website will cover three primary functions:

2. Provide a knowledge database of Islamic business contracts, Fatawa, courses and discourses on Islamic Business and Economics

Alhamdulillah, the above services and resources are provided free of charge. We also offer a free Fatwa and Shariah business consultation service to the Public. We have advised various private family businesses and individuals to develop shariah compliant investment schemes and structures including the Ahmed al-Kadi Hospital, Investcheck Shariah Investments and Al-Mabroor Investment Scheme free of charge.
